NEBOSH NGC Course

What?

The NEBOSH National General Certificate, which is a Level 3 qualification.

This two week course is delivered in two blocks. NGC1 concentrates on the management of health and safety, whilst NGC2 looks at specific topics, technologies and solutions for health and safety issues. Each module has an exam. To gain the qualification you also need to pass a practical assessment.

Why?

This is one of the most common first steps leading to people becoming health and safety professionals. The straightforward coursed develops both health and safety knowledge and skills. This course uses UK law to establish principles which are recognised the world over.

Once you have your NEBOSH Certificate you can obtain associate membership of IOSH (the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health).

Who?

This course is delivered by Vincent Theobald-Vega, using the core materials from RRC, along with other support from Northumbria University.

Where?

The course is held at Northumbria University’s City Campus, in central Newcastle-upon-Tyne, with good public transport connections by train, metro and bus.

When?

NGC1 will be from Thursday 28 March to Wednesday 3 April (not including the weekend). The exam is on 17th April.

NGC2 will be from Monday 13 May to Friday 17 May. The exam will be on 5 June.
